I need vitamin sea!
I moved to Maine from upstate New York after graduating with my B.S. in mechanical engineering in 2016 to be near the ocean, and I’ve never looked back! After living in Portland for 4 years, I am now located in Buxton, Maine about 20 minutes outside of Portland.
Like the name coddiwomple means, for me yoga is about traveling with purpose toward a vague destination. There is no specific “end” to the practice of yoga, and I have found that my yoga practice has continued to evolve and my goals have continued to shift to align with my day to day life. I began practicing yoga as an introduction to the fitness world, and as my athletic endeavors have expanded into the rock climbing and weightlifting worlds, I have continued to practice yoga to balance my fitness as well as strengthen the connection between body and mind. I have been practicing yoga since 2014 and completed my 200-RYT in 2020, and I hope to be able to bring yoga to those who have yet to experience all of the benefits. My long term goals are to teach yoga as a complementary practice for athletes, as well as offering adaptive style yoga for those who have differing ability levels. In my classes you can expect to be presented with attainable challenges for both body and mind. As my teacher liked to say during my teacher training, “you’ll get some of what you want, and more of what you need”.
